Pupil voice is something which we believe is incredibly important at Mandale Mill Primary School. Due to this we take pride in Mandale Mill Steering Group, made up of children from Year One to Year Six. The Steering Group representatives, alongside Miss Blenkiron, Mrs Paylor and Mrs Ashton, work incredibly hard to promote Rights Respecting and pupil voice in school. When relevant we invite other staff and governors to our weekly meetings to ensure children’s rights are embedded in the school ethos and culture.
We are super proud to announce that recently we achieved our Level One Rights Respecting Schools Award! We had a great time working with the adults to ensure our assessors saw how fabulous we are at Mandale Mill. Look out for our Rights Respecting Signs around school!
Steering Group also arranged Day for Change in our school. We WORE IT BLUE and had a class competition of Penny Wars to raise funds for those affected by malnutrition. We raised over £400 and Class 4 won the Penny Wars competition! Well done to all who supported us.
Keep an eye on us to see more of the fabulous work we are doing in school.
